It was the same injury that she suffered in 2007 ending the season with just two games. The recovery of Rapinoe allowed her to aid the Pilots win 20 games in 2008.

Although she was born in Portland and her family stayed in the beginning of her life in Boring. They owned the farm of honey despite her aversion to bees. Her parents separated and moved to Montana after which they moved to Seattle where she saw her mother change jobs often. They did not run the bee farm long. Maria relocated together with her parents to Minnesota and went to Apple Valley High School. She was also a member of both and the National Forensic League and the Award-winning Forensics Program. In high-school, Maria was very popular. In fact, she was named the Homecoming King. Career and early beginnings After matriculating she was accepted into the Juilliard School in New York where she studied acting and the place where she fulfilled her long-held dream was to be part of a Broadway musical. Amy Sedaris who is also an actress of note spotted her when she was acting in a show, and she said that she'd write a part just specifically for her show named Strangers with Candy. Maria was cast in her first significant professional role as a young high school student who becomes close to an ex-drug addict, prostitute and ex-con. She later played smaller characters like In Forgetting Sarah Marshall (accepted) and Hitch, which she starred in with Eva Mendes and Will Smith. She appeared in two other music videos, but they aren't so well-known as Sensitive Man by Nick Lowe and Friends of Friends from Hospitality. She appeared in numerous TV series too such as Big Apple The Learning of Max Bickford and Cougar Town. Her favorite was in Portlandia the show where she appeared in only one episode as it was fun and artistic job.
